What is Reiki?
What is Reiki?
In Japanese, Rei means divine wisdom, and ki means universal life force. Reiki is essentially spiritually guided, living energy, which is transmitted to you through your Reiki practitioner.
During Reiki, your practitioner will lay hands on or above your body to transfer life force energy. This can also be done long distance. This transfer of energy treats mind, body, and spirit.
Reiki was popularized by Usui Sensei in March of 1922, and while it is not a religious process, it is guided by the following principle:
The secret art of inviting happiness
The miraculous medicine of all diseases
Just for today, do not anger
Do not worry and be filled with gratitude
Devote yourself to your work. Be kind to people.
Every morning and evening, join your hands in prayer.
Pray these words to your heart
and chant these words with your mouth

How It Works & What To Expect (Reiki)
During Reiki, your practitioner will lay her hands on or above your body in order to activate, and balance, the energy flowing through your body. When our energy is low, or "stuck," due to an emotional trauma, physical injury, pain, or karmic imbalance, it can cause a number of symptoms such as illness, anxiety, depression, lethargy, and more.
Your Reiki practitioner will work to balance your body, mind, and spirit, and you will leave the session feeling lighter, relieved, and en route to emotional and physical recovery.
Benefits of Reiki
The benefits of reiki include
Feelings of relaxation
Assisting in the body's natural healing processes
Develops emotional well-being
Releases tension
Relieves emotional stress
Relieves old trauma
Aligns Chakras
Clears blocked energy
Reiki can also be done long distance. In long distance reiki, the practitioner will set an intention, thinking about the person they are sending the reiki too. I like to set up crystals mimicking the clients chakras, and then do energy healing on them, channeling it into the client, no matter where in the world that they are.
